I have replace the intake gaskets and no change. I don't think I have a vaccum line going to my dist. but I will check this afternoon.

The vacum advance is on the distributor! Its a cone shaped thing on the front and will have a vacume line going to it

5.0 ho's dont have vacum advance. advance is controled by the ecm.

Why are you cruising at 1200?
Shift and the problem goes away?

Pull the codes and see what the computer says is going on.

Does the car have any mods?

I am not 100% on any mods. Bought the car secon hand and that owner bought second hand and didn't know. The car will not hold an idle less that 900. The codes only show thermactors bad.
