Default Headers!!!

What type of headers are good for performance without having to change too much underneath? Whats the difference in shorty and long tube? Stainless, or ceramic?

What do you mean by change to much underneath? You wont have to change anything besides the headers themselves. And the difference between longtubes and shorties is that shorty headsers basically end at the bottom of the firewall and longtubes will go all the way down and than bend backwards towards your mid pipe. If you get longtube headser you will have to get a shorty h pipe to compensate for the extra length in the headers. Also, the difference in stainless is its stainless steel... cant really explain it much more than that. Basically people like it because stainless steel doesnt rust. And ceramic coating is just like it says... a ceramic coating. Most companies have this as an option because it will keep your headers looking alot better and i heard that it helps a tiny little bit with performance.

Speaking from personal experience, stainless does rust. This is what my FRPP stainless headers looked like after 7 years on the car. The ceramic coating just keeps the steel nice looking and from rusting.

Shorty headers are a direct replacement for your stock manifolds. With them, you can use your stock h-pipe. With long-tubes, you have to replace your h-pipe and they're a HUGE pita to install. Unless you're running a blower or a majorly built engine, stick to shorties. The long-tubes won't do a thing for you until then.
