I started it and let it get warm and then checked the level, but without the heater on and the radiator cap was on? Is it too late too do that now, and will it make a difference do you think? thanx for everybodys help by the way.

ya go burp it, if thats the problem it will fix it. its not going to hurt anything so might as well try.

you really need to circulate coolant through the heater core to remove all air. also the cap needs to be off.

is that an electric fan? does it come on at the right temp?

I'll give it a go before i buy the pump, like you guys said, it wont hurt nothin. Thanks for all the help people plenty of questions to follow I'm sure[:@], as I am not very mechanically inclined yet

the fan is electric i set it to come on at all temps that wasnt working so I installed a switch and i turn it on at the beggining of my 15 mile commute to work and halfway through it it heats up quick.
