I NEED HELP

I have a 1991 gt 5 spd. When i start from a dead stop my car clanks really loud. It kind of feels like its coming from the rear. any ideas.

sounds like your missing some teeth in the rear end, happens when you take crappy old rear ends and beat them to death, pull the diff cover and inspect, be you need a new ring and pinion,, time for new Gears
