You can do the same mods as any other Later fox. THere's just some goofy things about the year; last year for four eyes, first for 8.8, first for SEFI, last year for tiny brakes and to upgrade need newer spindles, and some other stuff, first year for double hump cross member and dual exhaust.

You should be good man. 86 is a really big year.. lots of good firsts.. but crappy heads that you cant change for better ones without fly cutting the pistons or changing them. i vote HELLS YES. get it.. but iam biased a little.lol

first thing I would check is to see if the igintion switch had been changed as there wasa recall due to fires and all thecrazy thinks itcause, like blinkers not working etc....call ford with your vin? also does yours have the 10 pin connector(salt and peper)

ok, just to throw this in, there seems to be a 50/50 disagreement with the pistons, people say you can run TF twisted wegde heads without cutting and others say you can't

I have heard that if the valve size is any bigger then the stock valve size then the pistons will need to be notched or changed.
