I've heard that you can run twisted wedge on a 86 motor but I've never seen anyone actaully try it. I don't think the twisted wedge heads use the valve reliefs on 87+ car so I don't see why you can't use them on 86 motor. Really with bolt ons ie: intake manifold, exhaust, gears and some good tires you should be able to hit high 13's low 14's no problem. I think thats pretty acceptable for a street car.

I'm getinng ready to install the TFS top end kit on my 86. I'll let you all know how it turns out after I check the P2V clearance with clay. I'm pretty sure the TW's will work with the 86 flat tops no problem. Hey WHL, is your 86 a T-Top car? Mine is and I love the T-tops. Orginal mileage is 58K and change. I'm the third owner and I know the previous two owners. Even though it's low mileage though it's in rough shape at the moment since my buddy let it sit for the past 5 years. She will be resurrected again though.

first thing I would check is to see if the igintion switch had been changed as there wasa recall due to fires and all thecrazy thinks itcause, like blinkers not working etc....call ford with your vin? also does yours have the 10 pin connector(salt and peper)
