Does anyone know the timing setup for a 91 5.0 with basic mods

10* is stock, 14* is the typical performance setting for premium fuel.

And don't forget to unhook the SPOUT connector (located near the distibutor) when checking the timing. Once timing is set, plug the connector back in, and happy driving!!

What is the spout connector? Where is it located? (near the distributor doesn't really help much lol) and why does it need to be disconnected? [&:]

its located to the right of the distributor, its gray, it plugs into the end of a little harness, u need to unplug it cause with it in the computer will constantly advance/ retard the timing, when its in u will have no idea where ur timing is, its like u have to unplug the hose for the vaccum advance on a carbed engine if that helps any

Oh ok its like an electrical connection thing. Another question is, can I adjust timing without a timing indicator thingy? Thanks.
