Hey while were on the topic. Does anyone know the shift points for a 1988 GT 5.0L 5 speed with 3:73 Posi? It should not change from what it was at stock right?

well in performance with your near stock hp you won't see any REAL hp gain that you could feel any way.... don't be the million people who thing that it's louder it makes more power....it's a natrual thing really, you feel the rumble in the car and hear the sound..you think wow it's a killer now.... just going to a 2.5" system helps more than just the right h/x pipe..when your make 400 hp this is just where it starts to come in to play and when you reach 500hp then TUNING the exhaust comes into play with header tubes beening made longer

yup the stock tach is pretty much good for nothing... my 5" tach shows ~750 rpm @ idle but my stocker is way down at ~300

Mine is dead on accurate, and is completely stock.
Never touched.
