RE: MAACO?
It depends on the paint job that you get... if you get a MAACO special for a few hundred dollars its going to come out like sh*t, overspray, etc. you name it. BUT I have seen good paintjobs come from MAACO if you pay the price for them.
When I first got my 88 it had a MAACO job from a year before and the paint was already chipping off the sideskirts, etc. And I spent a whole day with a razor blade scrapping off all of the overspray on the quarter windows, rear window, headlights, tires, mirrors, tailights, etc. That was one of those $250 dollar macco specials. But think about it, would you spend hours tapping off someones car for $250 dollars?!? HELL NO! You get what you pay for... But if I were to spend 2K on a paintjob it wouldnt be from MAACO though lol

RE: MAACO?
Macco uses enamel paint which is why they're so cheap. Junk. My Mustang had it on it (currently in the bodyshop.. Should be starting to get painted tomorrow! Black on scarlet... hopefully will look sexy) and I made the body shop sand it all off. This is probably gonna be a 10 000 job for them, lots of it being because of the Maaco job on it. They also just filled a few rust holes with bondo, which I wasn't happy about. They didn't even sand down the rust. When the bodyshop found the rust, there was still the brown around the holes, meaning it wasn't sanded properly, there was still rust. I made the body shop also weld those shut.
After seeing what was underneath this paint, I will never, ever take my car to Maaco.
