The GTs around here are going for right around sticker ($150k or so). Heard a Shelby went for $56k in Winston Salem. Unless your buddy is going for the visual/namesake impact statement that a GT500 gives, I say get a 05+ GT and stick a KB on it and call it a day.

Pro, Your the man My buddy has a ZO6 and loves it. He went 11.50 stock with the tires it came with. I told him you spent $70K on a car that goes 11.50's? Then I told him that I will have about $10k to the most in my car and I will spank him. He just looked at me like he wanted to tell me to go **** my self. I said whats the matter does the truth hurt? I just annoyed the crap out of him. Gotta love the fox.

the problem with GM 'S and no offense, the car's look on the inside and outside is made for older adults. They just dont have that class and muscle car genuine look anymore.

The corvette looks like a misformed rain drop, the Camaro,(not the 2009 or pre1993) looks like a two door stretch rain drop, with no room inside of either.

Ill admire the day they stop making cheap interior panels and clips, dash and trim pieces, and bolting things down with very small bolts, and nuts that are practically impossible to get to, along with the infamous cheap thing wiring and connectors, they use.

They cant keep techs or salesman, and hopefully toyota can help them, now they are together, but I doubt it.

its a sad thing, I have had friends say, "my dad always told me to go GM" , and its an American thing, but yet compared to their Camaro's of various years, they look at my mustang more and I let some of them keep it a day or so, to let em feel the truth. According to History, Ford was the first original American Brand and GM came out of nowhere.

I also ask them to compare the emblems and compare delaerships. The professionalism it with Ford. Power wins races, but dont sell cars as much as you think

The corvette isn't bought anymore because it is fast. The Ford GT and the new Shelby aren't being bought becauce they are fast. You buy a car like that for the name and the feel you get when you are behind the wheel. I don't know about the GT and the shelby but it is a very nice feeling that I can't get when I am behind the wheel of any other car other than the corvette. I am pretty sure they are the same way. If I wanted to buy something to go fast I would get a GSXR1000 and run 10's for 10,000 brand new. Corvettes are around alot but I sure don't see many C6 ZO6's. Any car that rolls off the floor, runs 11's and still has a warranty has got my vote. Yeah these cars cost a ton. That is just part of paying to play. Remeber, these cars come with all the extra's like AC, power windows, power locks, top notch stereo equipment, and a warranty on top of everything else.
