Default How does a 347 react to boost?

Sorry about my ignorance, but how would a 347 react to boost? Good, bad, or ugly?

we run a 347 a4 block with 15-18 lbs of boost and it loves it. has over 20000 miles on this set up and been raced many times and doesnt blow a bit of smoke, knock, or ping. just be sure you can get enough fuel to it we are running 42 lbs injectors at 675 horse at the tires and running out of gas. having to put in 60's

Well im going to begin the build. Its going to be a daily driven street car, but i think the first engine mod is gonna be a 347 kit, then later on an H/C/I, then later on some form of boost.

How streetable are 347s?

In a stock block, you might as well plan on keeping it at 10psi on pump gas. You should make 500+rwhp with a basic 347 and 10psi. You're block will never live to see 15psi unless you have a really porrly designed combo. But it can be every bit as streetable as a 302 so I wouldn't worry about that. The one piece that will have the biggest impact of driveability and power is the cam. Put good money into a good custom cam. If you're working on a specific budget, I'd compromise a lot of things to make sure I could afford a custom cam.

If you are looking for kits, I can get you a nice Probe/CHP kit at a good price.
