Default Autoxray -EZ_READ 2000 code reader any one have one or used one????

Has anyone used or have experience with the
Autoxray ez read 2000 code reader diag tool

I am thinking of getting one to cover both vehicles obd1 1990 stang and obd2 2001 explorer

any advice is appreciated.

i use one at work all the time not a bad machine for personal use but wouldnt recomend it for a shop.

yup, this would be a personal use tool in the driveway

the one I am looking at only comes with a GM Cable

I woild need to go to advance and get the ford obd1 cable and i'm not sure what obd2 cable I would need

I agree it is good for personal use. you should be able to find a kit that comes with the specific cable you want or with all of them. OBDII is just one cable that works for all cars that are OBDII. that one is not manufacturer specific. I have an older version of the autoxray (maybe 5 - 6 years old. never had any problems with it.

Thats what I was thinking, just wanted to be sure it wasn't a bad model or brand, I can have a working unit by getting extra cables for under $100 and be able to diag both vehicles

thats real good, when i was looking into them the base model for both compatabilities was like $200 plus cables!

I would not waste the money on it. Go to Auto Zone and they will read the codes for free.
I Have a Snap On MT2500 Scanner. I purchased it used off ebay. I have $725.00 tied up in it. I can check most domestic vehicles from 83 to 04 and with the rite adapters could do forein. It also has a trouble shooter which helps diagnose and repair codes. If you look around you can get one cheaper with older cartridges. Do a search on ebay for (Snap On scanner) there are always several on there.
