I doubt it....why bother with plat. plugs you gain 0 horsepower they do last longer and tend to help up faster..thier good points

Haveing sold them for a # of yrs, you have a 50/50 shot of your 5.0l even liking the platinum plugs, not the tipped, but the full core plats. They do not heat up evenly enough for the 5.0, the core heats up way before the rest of the plug, your better off with a copper core.

I had platinum +2s in my car for about 1 month. Finally had to rip thgem out and throw them away. The spark was blowing out under pressure and just plain sucked. Switched to copper and haven't had a problem since.

As far as running rough, it could be any number of things. Have you cleaned your IAC and TB? Check for any vacuum leaks? Does it hesitate when accelerating? What does it idle at (for RPMs?)

I don't understand why people pay good money on anything else but a reg plug....it you want more spark at the plug then buy a set of low ohm resits wires

I have platinum autolites and never had a problem....bosch will give you more problems than autolites though.....I have had bad experiences with them.
