Removed air silencer
i took off my air silencer today and sure was pretty easy. the hardest part was getting it out of the fender. i wasnt sure what difference to expect with it out, but i have stock exhaust and i noticed that it gave my engine a little deeper tone. am i just hearing what i would like to hear or did anyone else notice that too?

RE: Removed air silencer
its makes a small difference if your intake is stock. that silencer is 60mm just like the egr and tb. with the silencer off, air is still restriced at the tb, egr and maf. i had already done my maf, egr, tb and intake manifold before i was even told there was an air silencer so when i took mine off, i noticed a huge difference. this is because with it there, the smallest part of the intake was 60mm and when i took it off, the smallest part was now 70mm

yeah i thought the rest of the intake was restrictive, but i also put on a new k&n air filter when i took off my silencer so maybe thats why i noticed it a little bit. or again, maybe im just hearing things...

yeah, like the old Torino I had when I turned the air cleaner top upside down and let it get air all the way around the thing instead of just through the side pipe. those truly were the good old days for sure! LOL

I noticed a slight difference when I removed the silencer and installed a K&N filter too, so I don't guess you're hearing things that aren't there! LOL
