Default BALL JOINT PROBLEM!!!

I have a sn95 gt. The other day my ball joint broke. I had to have the stang towed to my garage. I took the caliper, bracket and rotor off already. I have order some Steeda x2 ball joints that are made for lowered stangs. The bad ball joint is no longer connected to the control arm. Do I have to take the rest out and how do I put the new ones in once I get them tomorrow? My Chilton manual says you have to replace the control arm, but that[>:] book is for the 1989-93 and I know the cars and front brake setup is very different. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I don't think they are bolted, you should be able to press it out and press the new one in.

The broken ball joint came out of the control arm. Only one bolt to remove it. Does the new one just pop in?

That is a comparision from stock on the right and the x2 and the left. The only difference is the higher spindle. Do they just get pushed in to the control arm?

You may have bent the strut also. Replace front end parts in pairs always. How many miles were on the ball joints?

Im not sure. The car has 107k and when it broke I was not going faster that like 20mph. I think the strut is still good. I plan on replacing both.

Not usually. From the parts store they come individually.
Take a look at this control arm kit. It would most likely be cheaper to change the whole lower control arms.
