I have one, it works so great, i have a HUGE NOS switch for it too, its pretty much like flickin the switch for nitrous, i have had nitrous before, and i cant tell the difference between the 2. And this one is a fraction of the cost !!! WOW

ORIGINAL: 90lxstang

i dont get the thing about the switch....
The switch is to turn it off and on. With a real blower, It's constantly creating boost because it's being turned by the crank / belts. But the boost is only used at WOT. With a real blower, that wasted boost goes through the bypass and gets vented back in the atmosphere. I imagine there's no bypass with this kit, so when it's on it's constantly forcing air into the engine. This is all in theory, BTW because I doubt thing thing creates even the 2.1 PSI it claims to produce. That and I guess it makes them feel like tehy are cool because they have a switch like you would with nitrous or with meth injection.

In reality though, I would think this thing would hurt performance it it wasn't constantly on. If it's on, then it can probably allow in enough air to function normally. If it's realyl good it may even creat 1/2 PSI of "boost" (I use the term loosely.) But as soon as it's off, it becomes a HUGE obstruction and would starve the engine of air.

I guess people probably would see a performance gain when they turn it on, but not because it's creating boost. I think that when it's off, it's such an obstruction that it hurts performance. So when you turn it on, the engine can finally breathe again and runs a bit better that it did with teh device off. I'd be willing to bet that you would get a performance gain by removing it completely too.
