TPS!! Not the same old question.....

I need to check the WOT reading. Got to wait until I can get the wife to hit the throttle for me.
The V-1 kit is the loud Vortech HO blower (8-10PSI). Got the whole kit (TRex in line fuel pump, Boost Retarding Module, FMU, etc.) so it was all put on at one time.
I'll keep plugging away at it. There has got to be something silly I'm overlooking.

I had to f-k w/ mine like crazy to get it to run half way decent. My tune was 700. Included an SCT chip, 3 tunes and the dyno time. He also set my hot and cold start perameters as well. Runs like a raped ape now. Goin' to the track on sat w/ some hopeful #'s in mind. We'll see. I'll post up on that this weekend.

Peace of mind and a great running car ought to be worth $700!!!! I'm only a couple hours from Lamotta Performance in Longwood, FL. I think I might check them out for the tune.
BTW, nothing like whoring out my own thread, huh?!!!!

LOL hell yeah!!!
As far as the tune goes, I would never run my car @ wot cuz I wasn't sure if something would happen. Too much invested. No it's safe and nothing to worry about.

Hey Mike. I think you can check the tps voltage just by opening the linkage with your hand. Save the wife for more important duties.

RE: TPS!! Not the same old question.....
A tune will help quite a bit.
On the tps though...
Are you sure you are getting engaged on the throttle blade correctly?
Sometimes it can be tough to work the tps sensor onto the throttle blade correctly.
If it is not mounted correctly, you may not see the voltage increase as the throttle opens??? Just a guess though???
what computer did you use on the maf swap?
Did you unhook the MAP sensor from the intak vac line?
Just a couple of things that seem fairly common to overlook.

EDIT:
I almost forgot....
Pull the codes from the computer.
You may get some good leads.

RE: TPS!! Not the same old question.....
Yeah, I definitely need to get a dyno tune!!
I pulled the computer from a '89 LX donor car I have in the driveway. Donor car ran fine until I started taking it apart. I feel pretty confident that I am getting the TPS on the throttle blade. I will double check that this weekend to be sure. It's odd that the voltage is so out of whack. I have three different TPS units that I have put on the car and can't get any of them to read correctly. Could be that my multi-meter is JUNK!!!
I did unhook the vac line at the MAP sensor and plugged the line. Left the port open at the sensor. I have yet to pull the codes. Need to try to do that this weekend, too.
Thanks for the help!!!

RE: TPS!! Not the same old question.....
If 3 sensors are that far out, then you may want to check the Vref going INTO the tps.
Maybe the sensor is getting more than 5v ???
Not sure how that could happen other than eec failure, but who knows....
If Vref is high, my money is that it will register ~7.2v.
Just a guess though
