Default BELT SIZE ????(NO SMOG PUMP)

I just removed my smog pump and wanted to know what the new belt size would be instead of buying the smog pump delete pulley? I have a '93 fox. HELP !!!

well i know that a beltsize for a 90 gt w/o the smog pump is a Gates K060735. It should be the same for yours...i believe. And these belts are available at autozone and O'reilly

If this does not work out for you. Cut your origional belt. Have someone hold your spring tensioner fully released while you hold the cut belt around the pulleys. Mark the the belt were it over laps remove the belt and measure its length to were you marked it. Go to a parts store and tell them the length that you measured and that you need a 6 groove belt that length. K060=6 groove belt the 735=73.5 inches.

Hopefully by now your friend has released the spring tensioner.

no O'reily in the area, just called Autozone and they say the cant cross refrince the gate number, they gave me a DuraCrap 855k6 and the thing is still to big!!!!![:@]

It is easier if you measure you get the rite belt the first time or end up close enough to drive it to the parts store to try a different one.

that's cause that's 85.5 inches with 6 ribs... see if they have a 735k6=735 is 73.5 i think i tried this before and 720k6 almost worked but didn't quite

770k6 fits with the stock routing minus the pump, thats what im running on mine
