Default gears

well my cars previous owner said it had 4.10 gears in it. Yesterday i jacked it up and the driveshaft turned only 2 times with one wheel revolution. Doesnt this mean it has stock gears? Also is it possible i have a driveshaft with a bigger diameter?

donno about the 4.10's but you can get a larger diameter driveshaft, but it's more roatating mass, unless you get an aluminum or carbon fiber driveshaft

i dont think they make a gear ratio that high. was it more like 2 3/4 rotations? is your car auto or manual? Theres a huge difference between stock gears and 4.10s, what is your cruising RPM on the highway?

80mph on the highway will sit you around 2800rpms on a 5 speed in 5th gear with 4.10's
2650 with 3.73's
2500 with 3.55's
2200 with 3.08s

my cars a 5 speed and i know it went 2 times for one wheel rotation. Oh and im not sure yet about the rpm on highway becuase i havent tooken it out much. My speedometer is also off, it says im going liek 55 when im doing liek 25.( i know its becuase i need a new speedo gear).

So does anyone know why my driveshaft only turns twice for one wheel rotation if the car supposely has 4.10s?

Don't some years have slightly different 1st/5th gear ratios?
