Damn thing is driving me nuts. I know that the car went unregistered for 8 years-does any one know if sitting for an extended period of time could do something to cause this?

Wow... sucks for you guys! I dont drop ONE SINGLE DROP of oil in 3K. Everytime I check its exactally where it was when I filled it. My car has like 88K on it or something like that. Maybe 89K.

my guess would be valve seals dried out and cracked from sitting. but you could also be getting blow-by from piston rings if it only does it at WOT.
