Default Wierd problem...

Yesterday I took out the car for the first time in a couple weeks, Drove it around town a bit went on the freeway took it into boost couple times but not high.
Well it started to surge when I got back in town figured it was a Vacum leak since I went into boost somtimes hoses pop off. Well come to find out it was just my Bypass valve hose that poped off. Put it back on and it was fixed.

I go to take off and my car started sputuring, wouldnt accelerate, back fire and just putt putting. I figured the computer got messed up when the vacum leaked out. So I took the battery terminals off to reset computer for about 30 mins, still did the same thing.

I left the battery cables off over night and put them back on today and it ran perfect.

What can cause this?
