So i just replaced the gas tank and before I did it, this would happen sometimes and now I'm thinking I should just get a new fuel pump. When I step on the gas hard sometimes, there is a slight hesitation and then the power comes streaming but it's doing it now more than before after I had to take the old pump out and put the new one in.

Is the 190lph fuel pump fine with stock injectors and lines?

the stock unit is like 70 or 80 i think

I don't think this quite answers the question that was asked. I too am interested in knowing if the higher lph fuel pump will work with stock injectors (stock engine). I may be buying a '90 GT and the fuel pump is whining and I am wondering how much life it has in it. If I buy a fuel pump I would like it to function well with the stock engine but be sufficient for when I decided to add mods.

the fuel pressure is regulated by the fuel pressure regulator there for you only get the fuel pressure you want to the motor no matteer the fuel pump size you use. IT WILL WORK.

just the 255 you don't want with a stock set up.....a 155 or 190lph are a great up great..you'll see how weak the stock 88lph pump is... we gain 12 hp when I change my pump this was at only 10k miles as the pump is weak pass 3500 rpms as so mine was

it still wouldn't hurt to get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and gauge so you can see the working fuel pressure and make adjustments to it as needed to get the best performance. also you didn't mention if you changed the fuel filter when you changed the pump. if not, then change it also.

I guess I ASSUMED he changed the sock when he changed the pump. I sure hope he did anyway! LOL
It would be pretty foolish to go to all the trouble to change the pump and not install a new sock on it!

people do it all the time..I have people tell me they don't have it and install it anyways..I say ok????but you might be back an it's 85 charge again..*L*..they get the sock*L*
