Have an '88 GT speed density AOD car that was factory rated at 225 HP, 300 ft-lb torque. Still running strong at the strip with over 108,000 miles on the motor and I haven't done any mods to it other than headers and a chip. Lightening up the car and other mods like tranny and rear end has it running mid 13's now compared to mid 15's when stock.

Yeah, but you're also running slicks and a fartload of suspension work

And in agreement about 87-93 looking the best

Damn, what kind of wimpy strip are you racing at? Excuses, excuses,... Go out there on Saturday then with the bracket racers and run some slicks so you can show me how to break something! LOL They will always welcome newbies so they can get an easy first round win! Just be sure you have the phone number of a good wrecker service who can tow you home! [sm=lol.gif]

I'm gonna try a 285 tire soon, hopefully that wont break anything .

The 285's are the Nitto 555's I got for free at the track one day.
These tires anygood?
Do they need to be heated up too?
