In august i replaced the starter because it would try to start but buzzzzz it was like th battery was dead but my meter read 12.87 so i double check grounds and there all good, i went and bought a starter and put it in havnt had a problem since until about a week ago i get in my car and buzzzzzz no start. It happen off and on and check the batterie still over 12 volts but if i hookup a jumper pack it starts no problem. the starter is for a 1993 so the siliniod is on the starter itself not on the fender. It supose to have a heat sheild but i dont have one, do you think its the starter again i'm running some equal leghth headers and my battery is an optima red top

Mine is a 93 and I still have a celenoid on the firewall that went bad and did the same thing! Its mounted on the firewall just behind the batt underneath the black plastic cover if you still have one on your car. The plastic cover that is!

my car silinoid is on the starter not the firewall my car doesnt have one on the firewall

if your battery is only at 12.87 volts you need to have it tested a full charged one should have more volts than that 13.50 to 14.20 i think

12.8 is the correct V. 13V+ is to charge the batt. and provide power to the electrical sys.
