A fixed fan has no ability to "give" under sudden acceleration or to not "engage" when not needed. Your engine does not always need to have additional cooling - cool nights, cruising down the highway at part throttle and various other situations don't really require the fan to be engaged and spinning 100% of the time. The added drag of having to spin the fan when not needed takes horsepower away that could be used to push the car forward just to thrash at the air.

since you have an aftermarket radiator and electric fans, i think the problem might not be the fans and i dono if just changing fans is going to solve the problem

Yea, I have the S bladed fan, the $285 one or whatever right? FLX-185 that part number from summit right? Like I said tho gets warm till the fan clicks on. I don't know how the straight bladed fan compares to it, but the S bladed one covers more area, has a higher rpm and blows more cfm than the regular one. But it draws 18 amps vs 14. Fits real nice trouble free installation. I really like it.

yea yea.. thats the one.. i'm liking what i hear.. i mean its only like 50 bucks more than the straight blade one.. and it supposible covers like 40% more radiator space.. i might just go with that one.. is it pretty much the same installation as the 15" black magic?
