Default Which Cam & Why?

i was going to go with the b-303, but the e-303 produces more right? but which sounds the best, so im all confused on which cam i want now.

depends on mods,gears,trans,use of car......me I like lil to no lobe and gobs of horsepower...I like to sneak up on the "big boys" with "quite" horsepower

You need to post up your complete mod list. Plus a cam should never be picked because of sound, do that and you risk losing HP.

I have made 400+hp at the wheel with many SBC 400's with a slight lope

well when i put the cam in, its going to have a cam, edelbrock performer rpm intake, 24# injectors, blackmagic extreme elec fan, alum radiator, bbk cai, 70mm tb, 75mm maf tuned for cai & 24# injectors, stock ported heads(thumper performance). msd 6al box, msd cap & rotor, bbk shorty equal headers, mac prochamber o/r h-pipe slp lm1 mufflers(dumps).

well 1st I really don't see the need for the 24's or the 70mm T/B with those mods.....just going to some 1.7's would work for you

I hope your getting a really good deal on the Thumpers because ported E7's are a really poor choice, even those ones. Keep in mind that you will need rear gears that allow you to take advantage of the upper rpm power that a lumpy cam has, also make sure to use the correct valve spring. The stock cam is actually pretty good sized in a 5.0, 300+ rwhp is not that hard to do with one.
