Removing those damn rear 12 pt bolts holding in the drive shaft!!!
I'm heading back down to my uncles this weekend to give it a second shot. He got a set of 12pt swivel impact sockets to use with his 1/2" impact. These damn 12 pt 12mm bolts fought like hell and would not come loose for us.
Last time he did not have these tools available, but now he does. We used propane, and a 3/8" impact last time. (I know and he knows that propane wasn't hot enough, but its what we had available)
This is what we're going to try:
1) Oxy-acetylene on the flange
2) Bigger impact wrench
3) Long *** pipe to connect to a breaker bar if it doesn't come out with the 1/2" impact.
4) Lots of penetrating oil over the next few days until I try again.
Any other suggestions? Thanks guys!

spray it down w/ wd-40 and then heat it up. this works great for stuck bolts, used it a million times. when you heat it, the wd40 gets sucked into the threads. sometimes it may take a few times but usually it works.

I also could not get my driveshaft off on my 88... I tried twice with no luck. I guess I will also try the cetylene torche w/ some WD

put two wrenches togther, then laying on your back step on it.
you can get a LOT of torque into it when you are using your whole leg to push with.
