black magic electric fan????

RE: black magic electric fan????
he had it wrong about street applications. properly installed with a themostat supplied with the fan to turn it off and on a good electric fan will work OK on the street. Just be sure to get one that doesn't draw lots of amps or your idea of the underdrive pulleys might cause a problem with keeping the alternator running fast enough at idle speeds in stop and go traffic.

what if i were to get a bigger amp altenator would that be enought to supply the power with the underdrive and fan? if not should i just do one or the other??

I would try the fan and the pulleys first and see how it works out. Unless you have a huge sound system or something else drawing a lot of power, you should be OK with the stock alternator. If it turns out you need more, then you can go for the larger alternator, but not before trying what you have first to see how it does.

i do have a small system but not much to drain the altenator and stuff to much i will try it first and see like u said. so would the black magic fan be the better choice of other fans??

RE: black magic electric fan????
I have one on my 5.0 and it works good for me. It comes with a thermostat that mounts on the top area of the radiator so it can control the fan and it also comes with the wiring kit to install a switch for it if you want but it doesn't include the switch. I got the puller version and mounted it on the engine side of the radiator and it works for me. Install was fairly easy too.
