ok thanks, do you know how hard it is to make your own kit. i'm only 18 and i know a good bit about turbos but i'll have to have someone else to the machine work probably. i know i'm going to need a huge turbo cause i only want one, a new header and exhaust, the tubing for the intercooler, an intercooler, a BOV, a wastegate, oil lines, boost controller, new fuel pump, injectors, and a tune when i'm done. does that sound about right or am i missing something.

You dont need a huge turbo. A 60mm turbo or something around there would be absolutly fine.

60mm doesn't seem very big, i guess it would spool faster but i'm not really worried about that, is there a common size between 60mm and 70mm. and does anyone know where i can get a turbo exhaust manifold so i don't have to make one.

I did exactly what your trying to do. I bought a exhaust flange, piping, turbo flange, wastegate flange, etc and welded away. If you have question i can try to help you out if you want. heres a pic. Oh and i have a T66 with a 70 compressor housing

Relocate the battery, then it will ok. & like mpswirl, aim for something near 65-70mm 65-70 a/r, not 60.
