Default 347

If u have a 347 with all forged, and the trickflow kit, (heads, cam intake) do u think that is a decent set up? What is the powerband on a 347 with that kit? It just seems that when i see alot of modded cars they dont have the low end power. But when they hit like 3k then they start moven.

that is a very good setup. and when you're running your car w/ launching and everything, how often do you drop below like 4000 or 4500? most times in an actual launching and running the car situation, you are only in the low rpm range once(depending on what you launch at) and that is when you launch.

nope, need to change the cam and intake.

347 is heavy breathing stroker with higher piston speeds and air needs.
using 302ci parts on it is going to seriously limit your available power.

the cam sets your power band.

heads are ok, but maybe look into getting them ported.

You need at least the the TrickFlow Track Heat intake

Check out this CompCams cam made for Ford EFI stroker motor
http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...tegoryId=10707

or better yet get a custom cam from www.camshaftinnovations.com

You also need to make sure you get matching springs for the cam and have
them installed professionally.

If you want the engine to really respond, call Camshaftinnovations and tell them
what you want and what you have and they will make the cam you need.
and you need at least the Track heat intake.

Nice reply rbarn... I was going to say the same thing!

Plus, theres really no reason to get a forged crank.... save your money and put it into a custom grind.
