Ok so lets say I want to be stubbord and get this cam anyway because I hear that with that lift it will be so aggressive. What would I have to do or purchase to make this cam work?

Sry if I am getting on your nerves by all the questions and what ifs...

Notch your pistons, or get new pistons. You cant notch yours too much cuz you can get off balance, and thats no good. I'd stay away from that cam if you dont wanna tear into your bottom end.

Translation: Rebuild your motor w/ some notched pistons.

Ok thanks for explaining. Since I'm so set on this comp cam set up. Is there one similar to what I've been lookin at but will a little bit lighter lift. ALSO, if I go down to about 530 lift, are the aftermaket lifters still needed???

What are the cams specs? You can have a cam in that power band and still fit it on the stock short block. That power band doesn't tell us anything. Also that power band is perfect for a street car. I'm not sure why everyone thinks its to aggressive. Making power from 1500-6500 is still going to leave you plenty of low rpm power. If the cam is to big then the pistons will have to be fly cut or they will have to be replaced.

you dont NEED them.... but your car has umpteen miles on it... why not replace them.... it would be foolish not to
