Fox Chassis is used since 79-04
well techniquelly 'our' Fox chassis ended in 93, for 94-04 the fox chassis was redesigned and given a "Fox-4" codename, similar but not quite the same

79-93 = Fox Chassis
Codename = Foxbody

94-04 = Fox-4 Chassis
*Codename = SN95
*99-04 BODY codename = New Edge(still SN-95 with Fox-4 Chassis)

05+ = D2C Chassis
*Codename = s197

Thank you for answering my question.

I'm not looking for trouble. I promise.
I just love my car.
I don't like not knowing anything about it. There was a time when taking care of the car was not my job. Now that I have THIS car I feel like I better protect it! (the mom in me I suppose) I won't let my boy friend work on it. Not only that, I wouldn't want mustang owners to think such a nice car is wasted on an owner like me. lol
welcome welcome welcome

I pretty much know very little about my car except what this gang has patiently taught me.

I like the statement " the mom in me I suppose" it sounds like the setup to a punchline of an old joke.

once again welcome this gang will help you out.

Thanks for the warm welcome!
Am I worthy? I suppose you all will tell me after you see my car?
A word of warning, I'm pretty sure she is not as nice as the cars here. It is just a plain Jane. When I'm rich and famous ya'll can tell me what I need to do to her so she's 'cool'. I have another question, what is the difference between LX and GT?
I'll take some pics when the transmission shop is finished with their lengthy autopsy.

LX is about 300lbs lighter. It's the same thing just doesn't have the body kit on it. As far as i know that is all that's different. If i am wrong let me know guys!
