well yea, buying an aftermarket block is always the best way to go.. but everybody and there mama builds the stock block with no problem also

yep...a properly built block can handle decent hp...just life span is just shorter that's all<people take that as a weak block i call that poor maintenence<and yes my spelling sucks today

You dont need a new block for 400 hp. It wouldnt be a bad idea to get one just so that you can later run some nitrous and increase the boost later on if you want.

You can do with a budget build, a SC, and some spray.

Alot of guys hit 300 RWHP with a budget built HCI alone, then you strap on a SC and hit a good 400, and a small shot of spray to top it off. You should be fine. Check ebay, its great. I see great deals on heads all the time.

Mine has 110k on it and i did a HCI......I dont think it matters all that much. I dont think i'd do it over like 150k
