Default Are Edelbrock heads decent?

I'm wondering about the bottom of the line, 5.0, emissions-legal heads. How much power do they make?

I wondered the same thing, then I found the company I'm buying my engine off of, and thats is the heads they use. It was a 347 stroker blower motor with 8-10 pounds of boost and it put down 625 hp. So they must not be too bad.

Yeah, the Performer...that's the one. Thanks for the replies folks. The thing is, if I have the money to get new heads, I'll just wait and get AFRs. I was just thinking of trying to find a set of used numbers, so I wouldn't have to wait so long, and was wondering if they were decent. What do you think the difference in hp would be between the AFR 165s and the Performers.
