Default Need Some Wheels For My 5.0L

Hey I got an 88 GT and i wanted to get some 17" or 18" Chrome Cobras, or 5 star chrome rims for my stang. If anyone knows about someone selling some or somethin dont be affraid to write. Alright thanks.

Your gonna have problems with the front wheels scrubbing unless you get some newer model fox fenders, I think 91 - 93.

yep the 91 on have just a lil more opening....the 18 will rub like crazy unless you find a set ......in looking for wheels concider wt as an issue as well

damn I never knew about the whole fender thing. Hmm so i would need to get new fenders in the front if i got 18" wheels???

I think for even 17" wheels you need the fenders

That all depends on the wheel and tire combo that you get as to whether it will rub or not. Suggest you go to a high performance tire dealer and work with them to figure out exactly what will fit, they have the know how and can make the measurements that will help you decide what combo will work for your car. the wheel diameter, wheel offset, tire width and tire profile all figure into what will work and what won't.

17's will work but you have a thinner wheel on the front like a 17x8 and 17x9 on the rear

well ya that is what i want to do. The bad thing that i know is that i am going to be getting smaller tires but bigger wheels. If i can get as fat as possible in the back that i will be all set. I NEED TRACTION!!! So when i find a good deal on some wheels then i can talk i guess.
