I have never converted one but the worst part about it has got to be installing the clutch pedal.
I have installed aluminum quadrants on two cars and that alone is not fun.

I've done them and they are not that bad. Like one guy said the hardest part is the clutch pedal. Just drop the steering column down and move the dash out of the way.....and while you have the dash out you minus well go ahead and replace the heater core. The best thing is the auto wiring harness has the connectors for the clutch pedal, they are just jumped off. Just remove the jumpers and plug them in.

Many say that you don't have to remove the dash, and while it's true you don't, it just makes things go A LOT smoother and less stressfull if you do. Have fun.... it's worth it, just make sure you get a V8 transmission to install back in.
