Default Need A New Transmission- C4, AOD, Or C6? HELP!

K so I did a drivetrain swap from a 93 GT Mustang. The tranny slips at fourth, so for now im fine driving off the freeway, but sooner or later im gonna need to get a new tranny. I want to stick with automatic. So whats my best bet? A C4, C6, or AOD? (i dont think theres any more options are there?). Pros and Cons of each one would help... And i just heard of a C6 so information on that would be great.... if you guy have any questions just ask. Thanks in advance!

you're talking about driving on the highway the aod would definetly be the best, you dont really want a c4 or c6 when you're driving on the highway

+1 Trannies without OD are a killer on mileage.

C4's and C6's do not come with overdrive. Depending on how much money you have I would get a tranny build from Lentech. OR if you dont do that. Than get a rebuild kit from Performance Automatic for the AOD, throw a manual valve body on it from Lentech and a custom stall with a good set of gears. You will be hauling ***!

C6 won't bolt up to a 302 anyways, made mostly for big blocks. Get an AOD.
