Default Got My 4.10 Installed!

I am actually very impressed with the 4.10's both on the street and freeway. Alot of ppl tried scaring me about using 4.10's with my 5-spd tranny. To me its perfectly fine at 2500rpm im right at 74mph which is fine for me i dont need to cruise at 80 or 90 anyhow. I think it was a great investment and recommend it to anyone looking for a great bang for the buck upgrade. I have a 1995 mustang gt 5.0 ,5 spd with the following mods:

Edelbrock intake Mani
70mm TB
FRPP header
Full magnaflow exhaust
4.10 (best thing yet)
80mm MAF
CAI

My goal with the vehicle is to break 11's I want all your points of view on what my suspension setup should be? My engine set-up also.
BTW im keeping the block stock at least for a year or two so the engine mods must be heads, cam etc. Thanks all and share your thoughts! Oh yeah and right now on DR's what is my car capable of the in the 1/4 mile?

Glad your happy with them. I should be having my 3.90's installed some time very soon. Im going from 2.73's in an auto to 3.90's. Should be a nice jump!

I went from 3.27s to 3.90s and it was a good jump, you'll definentally notice it going from 2.73s to 3.90s.

Sounds great. I've got an 86 GT with a 5-speed and I am wanting to put 4.10 gears in it. Around where I live, I have no reason to break 70 mph. With that in mind I do believe that I should be ok with these gears. This is important since I just found out that I can't do any type of head swap without have to notch my pistons.

1st off, i'm glad you didn't fall for it. most people who say not to, have never even been in a 4.10 car. i'm on my second car setup w/ 4.10's and run about 50 miles a day to work and back , i would go no different

hpm megabites for the lca's , an airbag in the right coil , uca's if you have the cash but not totally necessary. 50/50 drag shocks and if you can, use the energy suspension poly kit. (not so necessary either but it'll stiffen it up and subframe conn's if you can do it, try to get the ones w/ the t-bracing where the seats bolt to them, they are the same price and might as well eliminate that soft spot.

it's gonna take decent heads ported and also a power adder to break 11's (400 real hp) i was expecting to go 11.80's in my old notch b4 it was stolen w/ the following:

eddy al heads ported and polished exhausts & ported intakes , extrude honed upper and lower cobra intake , 100 shot nitrous, b-cam, on a 4.10 geared 5-speed notch, that was running 12.50's as is on stock motor w/ nitrous

low 13's as you sit is reachable on decent tires , that same car above went 13.20's on et streets w/ only 1.8 60 footers on motor

expect about 13.50-13.60 but if you get more it's a bonus

Im used to shifting four gears from stoplight to stoplight i just came from a 12sec n/a honda and those gears where like a damn go kart I think ill just hang on to my 4.10's so far so good. And they are a blast! 4.10's will be the only gears i will own! Nitrous BOB 2 questions for ya. 1. Will a 125shot be safe on my stock bottom end? And will a 125shot get me into the mid 12's? With full suspension and Drag Radials od course and im debating between either 275/60-15 nitto's ? or 275/60/15 BFG's which are better i drive 50miles per day. Thanks you all.
