Thought Id share with some of you. I was on my way home from Ohio from a college open house and I ran into some problems I discovered this sticking half way through my oil pan. Ouch

Yes it would...Got my ID card and toured the shcool..I got to watch the Cougar run and the yellow tube. Was drifting the circle by the dyno rooms.

Oh and I was coming off the shoulder and was shifting from 2nd heard the pop and thats all I remember besides goin ape. I prob over did it, shifted at 5500

lol yea that cougar isn't much... my roomate had a grand prix up there that dynoed highest there other than the 3 cars that had over 500whp... the school is good the town is boring and its kinda hard to find a job started in august and still don't have a job[&:] i would suggest coming to town on like a friday morning like a month before you start school and filling out apps. for every where you can thing of. i filled out prolly 50+ and only got a call from 2

I wouldn't think that 5500 rpms would be over doing it. I take mine up there from time to time, and have never thought I was risking tossing a rod. Is that normal? Are you sure you had oil in the thing?

i dont think taking it to 5500 rpm is risking throwing a rod in most cars. It was prolly gonna go anyways...

THere was oil in it. I changed the oil before I went up there and before I left the town I double checked it. I didnt miss the gear, I was pulling out of 2nd when it happend, weird part was when it blew there wasnt much oil from where it poped to where I rolled to a stop.
