RE: diecast models
Hey guys,
I just found this site and signed up. I am the project manager on the 1:18 scale 87-93 Mustang GMP Diecast models. I wanted to make sure I posted because I see what the confusion is on the 92 GTs. The pics on the web page are in the process of being updated, this was an early pre-production decoration sample. Sometimes the factory sends us these samples and they may have a part or two in correct but are corrected for production. All production samples have the correct air-bag steering wheel and and have "MUSTANG GT" on the rear plate. Sorry for the confusion and if anybody has any questions, comments, or suggestions feel free to email me direct. Thanks!

RE: diecast models
If you haven't seen these in person then you really can't get the full impact. $99 bucks is a good deal for a 1:18 Mustang model that has retractable seatbelts, working suspension and steering, hatch struts, positionable brake lever and arm rest, fully plumbed engine with rubber hoses, belts and vacuum lines. The Cobra R even has the little steering cooler just inside the driver side fog light opening. All the stops have been pulled out to make these the best fox body Mustang models you can get.
I know all about spending money on my Mustang parts versus the diecast and other stuff. I just spent $1800 with AFR and look forward to my comp prepped 165 AFR heads and rocker arms which should arrive here tomorrow! I've been trying to save up for those for 2 years! Now I still have to get the cam, gaskets and a few other small parts before I'm ready to take the GT40Xs off.
