when i first got my car, i spent like 2 weeks straight with it. then eventually my gf comes to me, real serious tone and says "im not going to take a back seat to the car." being the smart kid i am, and since i was still thinking about the car, i replied with "the mustang doesnt have a back seat." that didnt make her too happy.

You need to put her in her place. She needs to understand that guys have there hobbies. Plain and simple. Im sure she does things that takes up alot of time.
Plus she is only ur girlfriend? or is she ur wife?

well first off talk to the wife about it's "your hobby" and her " it's all about me" isn't good for you both...I bought my wife a pair of PJ's that have IT'S ALL ABOUT ME all over them and that you don't act up when she's out with the girls as it could be worse if not working on the stang " you might be out with the girls"

I say make a happy medium also. She'll reazize eventualy, you gotta give a little and you can take a little. My girlfriend really doesnt complain when i go wokr on my car, but its not here, so i have to leave. But i've asked her if she wanted to go and she always says no. But she just knows how much i love it, and how much i need to have it cuz i dont have it right now cuz its not running at the moment. But i know i'll be working on it all the time even when it is running. There is always something to do, even if its just cleaning it for 4 hours, haha. She likes it too, but NEVER will she drive it. The only acception to that would be if she learned how to drive stick really good, but I tried to teach her in my old car, but she just coulnt get the hang of it, donno. So just meet in the middle, and make a happy medium...

thing I did with my wife I asked her to come out and help all the time she did a few times then when she say no all I said is don't complain about time spenttogether as you chose not to...works great
