Default a/c heat temperature control **** hard to turn

Hey everyone,

The temp control **** is somewhat hard to turn. The **** eventually broke. I don't want to keep buying new replacement *****. Feels like there is too much friction when changing from cold to hot. Is there a way to make it easier to turn? Can the ac/heat control assembly come apart easily, and is it just a matter of cleaning it or putting on some lubrication?

Thanks

you should try re routing the cable that funs from the controller to the heater box. i had to do that when i did my heater core.

I have the same problem. Going all the way hot is fine but when going towards cold it stops 3/4 of the way there. If I turned any harder I would definetly break the ****. I thought they were all like that ...

Remove the glove box. Look up and left through the glove box door hole and you will see the temp cable connected to the blend door and the side of the heater box. Help move the door while turning the **** and see if it will free up or disconnect the cable and see if it's the cable binding or the blend door.
