Im lookin for a Fox notchback 5.0 and build a street strip car, whats the cheapest supercharger? I saw a ford racing one that was like $1600 or something. I want a decently powerfull car that looks a sound good, i have about $10000 to spend on a car plus parts. I might use it for my schools competition, dunno yet. So far im decided on>

-UPR Flowmaster 3" full system
-BBK shorty headers
-Possibly supercharger
-UNtil then, BBK cold air kit
- Bigger MAS and TB
-New upper plenum and lower manifold
- Misc interior accessories
-Hood, lights and paint etc

Whats a decent supercharger? I need the car to look good, i need a color that suits its personality, im thinkin dark green or dark red, hmm...idk, help me out!

well the ford racing supercharger is a powerdyne unit i believe, and from the experience frmo the people on this site is not a vey good unit. You would be better off going with a vortech or procharger.

find something cheap! with not many miles but the body not in great condition and put a kenne bell supercharger on it!!!!!!!!!!

good heads and a good cam will give you a good amount of hp.. more than a supercharger on like 8 psi

yeh, the kenne bell is the stuff but no one makes a screw or roots S/C for 302 shortys, ill look into vortech and procharger, anything specific i should look into?

I'd find a good lookin fox for about 3 grand, build the motor ( HCI ) thats about 3 grand, with the left over 4 grand, do paint and whatever else you want. Are you stuck on supercharging it ? Or do you just want alota power ?

True, if you are looking for power..you should just build the engine with what you got. H/C/I alot of other stuff and of course the little things. CAI, Underdrive Pulleys, Bumped Timing, a chip and other stuff. You will be definetly packing much more than a supercharger will give you. The most expensive stuff is the H/C/I. Alot of people have the Trickflow package, you can find that on Summitracing.com

Or if you want, build your own combo. Lots of choices man, dont run to supercharging it if you just want power!

I have a 1990 5.0 auto GT, i really want an LX notch.i dont want nitrous, thats super illegal in NY, hell, having non oem switches is illegal, id like a supercharger, its cheap HP. I was thinking of a little motor work, not too much cause it needs to be streetable...

find a cheep fox and just swap a 351w youll be ok
