RE: MY NEW 302 PICS
Well, to start off im gonna rebuild it borin it 30 over, and magnfluxed, prolly new heads, edelbrock, new intake manifold new 750 holley carb, lotta new stuff, pistons, rings, headers, pushrods, oversized cam, solid lifters, oil pump, timing chain, distribator, u know, plugs wires, the given.......... Im also gonna try to find a 4 speed tranny, rebuild it if needed..... But when all above is comin to a wrap, im plannin on buyin a old 66-69 fastback mustang shell, no engine or tranny, but with faverable interior and body, sell my SVO, pay for the materials to fix it up, and trick it out..... Any ideas would be great.......

sounds like a good plan although finding a good old Mustang shell may be hard to do and expensive, even without the motor and tranny. why not transplant the engine into one of your other Stangs?

RE: MY NEW 302 PICS
as for tricking out the SVO, you might consider making it look more like an 87-93 mustang.
Many people do not like the SVO, which is unfortunate, bec its really a very technically advanced vehicle for
when it was built.
I would suggest going with a stormin norman style ram air hood, if you did not want to move the stock intercooler,
you could then route the airflow from the scoops right to the intercooler....
with a LX front, it would look much like a 87-93 notchback

well, i wasnt talking about trickin out the svo, i was talkin bout sellin the SVO and using that money to fix up and trick out the older stang, and for u roundman, i got rid of the 91 lx and the svo will be sold.........AND if you were wondering i called the tech line and found it to be a 72 302, outta a MACH 1.....210 hp, 141 net, which means 210 hp, in my stang book i got it said 141 net, but the same EXACT motor from the previous 210 hp yr......They said the change was due not to the lower compression (9.0 to 8.5) but to the new system of net vs. gross, so basically it has 210 hp "gross", but rated at 141 hp "net".

Dave on the pass. side of the block below the deck and just befor were the tranny hooks up there shoukd be a casting # consisting of # and letter only four digits i.e D0EA but will start with a letter about .5' in size C= 60 D=70 E=80 F=90 i.e D4 is an 1974 casting.
