Default GO FASTER WINTER LIST

Well, the car is up for the winter now, so it is time to tear it down and tweek on it. I plan on doing a few thing this winter to help my 1/4 mile time...kind of on the cheap.

I am going to port my upper(cut the end off and port, then weld back on) and lower intake(straigten out the runners) Put on a larger T/B..maybe a 70MM and I am also converting to MAF(going to use a C & L tube) I deleted my EGR a while back and just made a block off plate, so instead of getting a new larger EGR spacer I am going to make my own spacer to delete the EGR all together. I am also going to pick up a set of 4 cylinder springs and maybe some shocks for the front. I am also getting some DR's and a line lock. With all this I hope to get my 60's down to like a 1.8 and my et to low 13's(was running a 13.7)

I just like to do all the cheap and free stuff I can...kind of fun and keeps me busy. Tell me what ya think and if you can think of anything else. I already have gears, sub frames and boxed control arms and other bolt on stuff.

Just trying to plan my winter.

I'm sending my heads out to be ported, valved and flow tested.

I'm having 1.9" intake and 1.6" exhaust valves installed in my heads, and im getting them ported out, having the bowls hogged, new guides, seals, springs, keepers... etc.

Its gonna run me about $800 and i'll have a set of heads that are comparable to edlebrock performers... if not a lil bit better
then im gonna slap in a new cam, new timing chain and gears, W/P, oil pan (7 qt Moroso), QA1 tubular K mamber, and im having my upper and lower intake extrude honed...

should be a fun spring!

i bought a rebuilt 5.0 motor,
bored .060 over, (comes out to be a 311)with hypereuretic pistons,
heads from a 66, that have been ported like crazy, and shaved to make 10.0 to 1 compression
and a 7qt moroso pan.. lol

the list of mods goes on, on just the block and heads.. i have a full list at work

Sounds like fun.. heh my winter is going to be a bit more. I just picked up my DSS Bullet 306 shortblock, AFR 165cc heads. Now I gotta order the Victor Jr. intake, holley 650 carb, 1.6 RR's and my cam. I'm looking for low 12's high 11's on motor and mid to low 11's on nitrous. So this summer will deffiently be a fun one!!!

i think im going to order the trick flow..
i ordered a MAF conversion last weekend.. it got here today..(hope that goes smooth lol)
this motor, when paired witha holley 650 carb, and a edelbrock performer rpm intake.. ran high 12's with a set of 3.08's
so hopefully i'll be atleast low or mid 12's with a set of 3.73's

This is going to be a good winter for me as well. The list goes...(not just go-fast parts)

heads ported and valved
new intake (probably TF SH)
70MM TB, new MAF, 24lbs inj, 255lph fuel pump
electric fan, 180* t-stat
3g alternator
new headlight kit
new bumper covers
new hood
new paint for whole car
4.10s and rear end rebuild
a new set of Ponies (most likely)
subframes
rear u/l control arms
new amp and capacitor

all that and a nice dyno tune, equals an empty wallet and probably some debt, haha.
