tested all my cylinders tested at 150 cuz i was tryin to figure out if i need to replace rings or valve guide seals i was told 150 is good so idk any input from you guys?

My 86 ran fine with 125 all the way around and thats pretty bad. I wouldn't worry about 150 that pretty good for a 17 year old car. New is probably around 170-180.

Also you know guide seals won't change your compression at all.

my guess is he is burning oil and can't figure out why, if compression is good then there is a chance that it is the valve seals.

when you have the head broken down be sure to check the valve guides as well...

your not so much worried about the cranking psi but you do not want to see a big differance between cylinders ..most will agree that about 5% is acceptable..if you have 150 on all 8 your engine is pretty healthy

yea all cylinders are at 150 im buring oil an the spark plug keeps fouling up in one cylinder

thats a tough one sure its oil...i would say your next step is to do a leak down test..i bet you find that its a cylinder head problem(valve seal or guide)..a leak down test will give you a good idea of whats going on in there..were the compression test gives cranking pressure the leakdown test is just that its going to show how long the cyl. can hold that pressure.. you may be able to rent one but there not too expensive 40-100 ....i would say you can eliminate rings pistons and headgasket at this point..you may also want to check to make sure that plug wire is good use an ohm meter and check the resistance...check that terminal on the cap too..does the engine miss or load up or any drivability problems?

only after a couple of weeks when the plugs starts to get all fouled up im takin the heads off this weekend an gettin em redone
