bore/stroke your block get a s/c or a turbo, "tune up" all your other stuff; rear end, transmission etc. and call it a day. (with money left over i might add)

Take some time and figure out what your goal is. Personally, I would look at a 351 w/ some AFR 185's or CNC'd TW's. You can get a shortblock 357 from CHP for under 2500 and then piece the rest of it together yourself. Ebay can be your friend when it comes to used parts like intakes, cams, TB's, etc. No reason to buy new when you can save $$ on parts like that.

a longblock includes cylinder heads, rockers, pushrods, cam and timing chain.

shortblocks only include the block, pistons, rods and crank.

Coast High Perf.: 306 street fighter GT short block ......... $1,500
Trickflow top end kit ( heads, intake, cam, everything ...... ) .......... $2,300
new flywheel ................... $150

Total ....... $3,950

also ........ a custom cam from Jay Allen will add tons more power too for another $350 or so.

assymbly ............. $2,000 ( by the way thats WAY high )

This would be a much better engine than the GT-40 crate engine.
