Default Roller Engine

Ok, so I know that the roller was introuduced to the 5.0 in 1985. But my question is this, what is the difference between the roller and non-roller motors? Is it just the cam, lifters, and rockers? Or is there an actual difference in the block?

so it wouldnt be hard to convert a non-roller to a roller? New cam bearings, new cam and lifters with stock heads off a newer model? with an injected intake

the non roller motors dont have the "spider" that holds the lifters in place. To convert a non roller to a roller you need to get special lifters

its quite diff, and to convert it, its pretty costly instead of like $135 for the lifter its like $600.

the HO = roller, the non-ho = non-roller. im not sure about converting or intermixing stuff, ive always had a roller block.
