RE: first car
yah i don't know im gonna agree with the younger people and say but it but that's just because i owned my first (still first) 5.0 at 16 years old. i've yet to even come close to an accident but i know when to joke and play and when not to..... Snow though.... if he's doing alot of driving in it DON'T LET HIM DRIVE ON ICY ROADS!!!! lol my car is HORRIBLE on icy roads.... not be able to stop at a light or taking me half an hour to get to work which is normal a 10 min drive.... unless the roads are salted its horrible, then if their salted your car could rust

RE: first car
I'd say let him buy it if he's got the $$$ himself to pay for it. I payed 2500 cash (money that I had earned by working my *** off, my parents didn't pay a single penny) for my 91 5.0 vert when I was 15. If you're paying for it, I'd say get him something else.

I got a beat up acura for my first car that i had to fix up. It was pretty nive when i painted it, but I deff didnt have the respect for muscle i do now. I say get him a descent beater and if in 6 mos- 1 year if he hasnt gotten a ton of tickets and hasnt crashed it, sell it and get him a fox. Then he will appreciate it more.

RE: first car
Im turning 17 tomorrow and a 1990 LX is my first car. I agree with everyone foxs are awsome cars, however everyone with that much power likes to get cocky and show off. i did once and did a 360 and slid sideways untill i was about a foot and a half away from a tree prolly could have killed the pasenger. you have to judge your kid and see if you think he would do some dumb **** like that i learned not to get cocky and show off its dargurous. but if you think he can handle it go for it its an awsome car
