those of you with 125 nitrous shots

and would realize that the size of the shot doesnt have much to do with it as how much fuel your putting in for the amount of nitrous, your timing, your ignition system(plugs mainly), tuning, etc.

o ya, and NX would probably be the best choice IMO

Am i reading this right? It say's that you are running a 351 and you still need nitrous to get into the low 12's... I wonder as to what combination you have.
What are you using for heads? are they stock? You could port the stock heads, and with a decent intake and cam you get into the 12's on motor for less than it would be for the nitrous system with the accessories.

Not supporting this guy or him shooting nitrous for that matter, but his dad could be a lot like mine.
My dad is an ASE certified L1 master technician and has been around the block a few times when it comes to performance. But hes VERY traditional, and makes me learn things on my own with only a little help. Generally when he gives advice its because hes speaking up about a dumbass move im about to make / have made. I plan on shooting a 150 shot on my stock engined 5.0 sometime in the near future, but all of the info i have ive gotten on my own, i cant goto him for advice on that. It's not that im not "allowed" to put it on my car, as it is MY car, and im 18 years old, but he doesnt condone the use of nitrous so i have no help there. Maybe hes kind of in the same boat?
oh, and by the way, to the thread maker, dont base all of your knowledge from this forum. Go out to your local drag strip and talk to real people with real experience, and compile your knowledge from what you learn there and a little research on here. from what ive seen go with NX. Wet shot. 125 will be fine. If you're running platinums, go colder, dont run anymore timing than stock. spray, if u break it, build it.

RE: those of you with 125 nitrous shots
I have an express 150 wet shot. I like it but really expected a night/day difference. The car is fast without it and I haven't had it long, so my evaluation is less than objective, but it's fun nonetheless. If done properly, nitrous is no more harmfull than anything else that adds power. Its all more stress on the internals but nitrous is dangerous because it will melt the metal if not enough fuel is added. Go wet, dry kits are a gamble and have a much higher risk of leaning out than the wet kits do. Nitrous needs high pressure to work well. Otherwise when your pressure reaches 600psi the mixture gets real rich and it wont feel like much. Get a heater; it keeps your pressures constant. I have a low fuel pressure cutout so if something happens on the fuel side - I loose the n2o as well. A nitrous and fuel pressure gauge will help keep things under control. Purge kits are nice, you don't have to worry about hesitations when the system engages. I pay $40 and get about 50 seconds total before the pressure is too low to be useful. Overall, I recommend it if you know what you are doing.

1. go with a wet kit they hit harder.
2. stay under 150 shot and dont spray under 3000rpms.
3. one step colder plug and get the a/f ratio around 11.8-11.3 on the spray. am 13.0-12.5 n/a. thats one of the advantages of a wet kit you can change jets to get the a/f right on the spray.
for what its worth i pay $3.25lb for nitrous and get 4 1/4mile passes on standard 10# bottle.
my jets are 59n and 40f
